Fire officials say it appears the blaze started in a large paper compactor.
It took several hours to extinguish the fire.

A fatal accident at Smith Mountain Lake this weekend- when two jet skies collided.

Authorities say 40-year Jon W. Cooper from Lynchburg was killed in the crash.
Cooper's jet ski collided with another jet ski, ridden by 41-year old Moneta resident Gloria Purdue.
Purdue escaped without injuries.
Authorities say there are usually about 50-accidents at Smith Mountain Lake every year.
More than half of those involve individual watercraft such as jet skis.
Police are still investigating the crash.
But no charges are pending.

Alcohol may have been the cause of another death at the lake.
A 40-year old Franklin County man was sitting on a dock at Shoreline Marina.
Authorities say he was drinking with his friends.
The man apparently got drunk, fell into the lake and drowned.
Authorities say they do not suspect foul play.
But they say alcohol "definitely was a factor."

The Hometown Hoops weekly family grew a little today. Rockbridge County high school announced today that Scott Jones is the new girls head basketball coach. The West Virginia graduate is 151 and 61 in his last nine years coaching. He comes from Fort Myers Florida and replaces Susan Brown who has gone back to school to get her masters dgree.

U-V-A's winning ways have earned the Cavaliers another honor.
The University of Virginia won the 20th annual Virginia Sports director's Association state survey of division one schools.
Virginia had teams and individuals representing 16 sports participate in post season competition during the 1997-98 school year. School teams had a combined 65 percent winning average.
Hampton University finished second in the overall competition with a winning percentage of 61-percent.

House building is no easy task, but Habitat for Humanity has it down to a science.
And their volunteers are breaking records.
This house was put together in just four hours, 39 minutes and eight seconds.
The breakneck speed did not stop the builders from applying finishing touches.
The house even got landscaping, with holly bushes planted in the front lawn.
