Late-term abortions are now illegal in Virginia.
Last night a federal appeals judge overturned an injunction that would have kept the so-called "partial-birth" abortion bill from becoming law.
Judge Michael Luttig issued the ruling late last night, allowing the ban to take effect today.
Last year Luttig also overturned a lower court ruling and allowed the parental notification abortion law to take effect.
