It happened around one this afternoon.
Parkway officials say they don't know what caused 54-year old Jimmy Etters of Winton, North Carolina to lose control of his bike.
Authorities say Etters suffered many deep cuts that did NOT appear to be life-threatening.
He was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition.

A Roanoke County woman escaped with only minor injuries after flipping her car along Bent Mountain.

The accident took place around nine o'clock this morning near the intersection of Bent Mountain Road and Overlook Lane. According to police, the 57-year old woman lost control of her car, went off the side of the road then flipped over. The woman was treated and released from Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Police are NOT releasing her name.

A Lexington doctor, accused of having sex with patients was ordered to undergo a psychiatric exam.
Dr. William Weddle will be allowed to work as an emergency room doctor, but must be chaperoned when examining female patients.
The ruling came from a Virginia Board of Medicine Panel that met yesterday.
Weddle is accused having a sexual relationship with two of his patients.... he says the charges are false.
He'll appear before another medical panel next month.

Keith Bryant signed his first major recording contract about a month ago.
