29-year old David (De-SHAY-zoh) Deshazo is charged with first degree murder in the death of Jerry McClendon.
The NAVY shipman was suffocated at his home near the Little Creek Naval Base in Virginia Beach in 19-92.
His decomposed body was found weeks later in a wooded area in southern Henry County.
Authorities say Deshazo moved the body from Virginia Beach using a U-haul truck.
