The previous survey asked children as young as 12 years old how many sex partners they have had.
Education officials say they need the survey to guage the behavior of teenagers.

A Virginia Tech student has come up with a new way to express road rage without doing something foolish on the highway.
Sean Herrala set up an Internet site as an outlet for driving anger.
Contributors can describe the offending vehicle, comment on the driver and even give the car's license number.
Entries are anonymous.
Herrala set up the Web site this spring after another driver pulled a gun on him and chased him from Salem to Blacksburg.

Two men were arrested on drug charges Saturday in Botetourt.
Police suspect Victor Duane Helm and Carlos Renaldo Ivy bought the crack cocaine and marijuana found in their possession with the intent to sell it to their neighbors in Keystone, West Virginia.
Authorities say the small town of about 650-residents has an ongoing problem with drugs, particularly crack cocaine, being brought in from larger cities like Pittsburgh and New York.
Both men are charged with possession with intent to distribute.
