((The Roanoke Red Wings are named after the NHL power from Detroit that won the Stanley Cup. These 11-12 year olds believe they can win the top prize...in the commonwealth games.
((:))
The Red Wings are gaurunteed a gold medal match up because there are just 4 pee wee teams in their division. But 10 of the 16 players are in their first year of the contact hockey they will experience in the games.
((:))
Despite having only five practices at the Ice Station to develop a chemistry , the 16 Red Wings feel certain strengths will help balance out the lack of ice time together.))
