A man who fled on foot after shooting at a moving car last night is still eluding Danville Police.

Authorities suspect the gunman fled into nearby woods after shooting at a car on Dudley Street around 11:15.
The car's juvenile driver was not hit by gunfire, but DID suffer minor injuries after he drove into a parked car and a fence.
The owner of the parked car says she didn't suspect anything at first.

First degree murder charges now face a Henry County woman accused of killing her baby daughter on Mother's Day.

A grand jury indicted Sharon Alley yesterday.
She's charged with stabbing her eight-month old daughter Brooke in the heart on Mother's Day.
Alley is also charged with felony neglect for allegedly throwing the little girl on the floor last year.
Henry County's prosecutor said he would like to combine the charges against Alley into one trial.
Her next hearing is set for Thursday.

A teenaged recipient of a double lung transplant has died at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
The Cystic Fibrosis patient from Patrick County received his new lungs from living donors.

Jackson was the first recipient in Virginia to undergo a double lung transplant from living donors.
