Governor Gilmore is the last hope for a man convicted of luring a Roanoke real estate agent to a vacant house then killing her.
Danny Lee King's request for a stay of execution was denied by the U-S Supreme Court yesterday.

For one year now, Virginia teens have been required by law to notify a parent before obtaining an abortion.

State police say 40-year-old Rebecca Ann Braithwaite (Bray-thwaite) was thrown from the vehicle after she apparently lost control, hit a rock embankment and flipped several times.
It happened around four p-m near mile marker one-19, near Christiansburg.
Witnesses reportedly told police that Braithwaite appeared to be driving at a high rate of speed.
It was also raining at the time.
No one else was injured.
