Roanoke Express new head coach Scott Gordon conttinues to try and solidify the roster. He inked a solid player this week in golaie Daniel Berthiaume.

Berthiaume met with Gordon and Express general manager Tony Mancuso Monday and inked a one year deal with the team. Berthiaume lead the ECHL this past season in goals against with a 2.58 average and was 17 and 7 in goal.

Three time Winston Cup champion Darrell Waltrip has spiced up his life. He's the new driver of the Tabasco 35 car.

Waltrip began driving for Dale Earnhardt's Penzoil number 1 car at Bristol this past March as a fill in for Steve Park.
Waltrip faired well, posting 7 top 15 finishes and a 6th at Pocono.
D-W replaces Todd Bodine. Waltrip will race the Tabasco car this weeknd at Indianapolis.
The deal is for the rest of this season and all of next season.

A 60 foot fountain of water shot into the air after construction crews drilled into a water main today.
The city is already under an odd-even rationing plan in which residents can only water their lawns every other day.
No one was injured in the accident that happened late this morning.
