A former Giles County teacher accused of having sex with a female student today waived his right to a speedy trial.
26-year old Jarrod Hines taught and coached at Giles County high school but was indicted in neighboring Monroe County, West Virginia where he lived.
He allegedly had sex with the 15-year old girl at his home.
Monroe County's prosecutor does NOT think the case will go to trial.
He says Hines appears willing to work out a plea agreement.
In the meantime-- investigators are preparing to take pictures of Hines' buttocks-- looking for an alleged birthmark.
