Paula Johnson, the mother of Callie Johnson, and the grandparents of Rebecca Chittum were scheduled to meet tomorrow... but according to published reports that meeting took place yesterday.

Michael Irvine, the attorney representing Rebecca's paternal grandparents told the Washington Post the families actually met last night.
Irvine said the family rescheduled the meeting because they were afraid they'd be followed by reporters.
He said the children were not present, neither were the lawyers, and everything went well.
The family is still waiting for the results of DNA tests.
Meanwhile the state health department is now investigating the University of Virginia Medical Center where the alleged switch took place.
The department is looking into what procedures the hospital had in place, and whether the procedures were followed.

One person was killed in a traffic accident near Arcadia this afternoon.

The accident happened around 12:30 near the 172 mile marker along Interstate 81.
State police say a car travelling southbound ran off the road and up onto an embankment.
Authorities say the car then came down and hit the back of a tractor trailor.
The driver of the car was killed.
Police are not releasing the driver's name.

Another traffic accident left a man from Rocky Mount dead.
It happened around eight this morning along Route 57 in Henry County.
According to police the driver of a pick-up truck sped around a corner, lost control of the truck and slammed into an oncoming car.
Rescuers transported the driver of the car, 33-year old Manuel Ramos Torres, to Memorial Hospital in Martinsville where he later died.
Police are still investigating the accident.

Investigators are searching the rubble of American embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, looking for clues.

Nobody was hurt.
And the building suffered little damage.

Last night Robert Bentley Newberry led police on a seven-hour manhunt.
The 31-year-old broke loose from a group of inmates who were clearing brush in the woods.
The Superintendent of the Botetourt Correctional Unit said he will review work-detail procedures next week to determine how Newberry was able to get away.
Newberry is serving 19-years for robbery.
If he is convicted on escape charges, he could face another five years in the penitentiary.

Caeser Salad lovers got their fill yesterday in San Francisco.

Organizers were trying to break a world record by making the largest caesar salad ever. Ingredients included 4,000 pounds of lettuce, oversized croutons and even 500 eggs.
Mayor Willie Brown was among those on hand for the event.
The finished salad weighed two tons--just enough to set a new world record.
