Two Roanoke County government officials are under fire from the local president of the N-double A-C-P.
Martin Jeffrey says the County Administrator and the County's Director of Human Resources should step down for maintaining a culture of discrimination in county government.

At a news conference, Jeffrey highlighted the complaints of Patricia Puryear (per-YEAR), a 28-year employee of the Real Estate Assessment office.

In other news from Charlottsville, the University of Virginia has been forced closed down it's indoor sports complex.
The school says an annual inspection of University Hall found problems with a tension ring that holds the dome together.
Thirty-two of the 670 wires that make up the ring were broken.
The athletic department has been moved to other offices.

Jonathan Majors was sentenced yesterday to six months in jail-- for having oral sex with two female inmates.
He pleaded guilty in June to two counts of sodomy.
The women filed criminal complaints last year against Majors and two other jailers.

He'll report to jail in two weeks.
