One target was a complex and base camp in the rough terrain of afghanistan. the other, a chemical weapons factory in khartoum sudan. officials say, both under the control of the terrorist osama bin-lauden.

After the attacks, angry demonstrators invaded and took over the closed and empty u-s embassy in sudan. Pentagon officials say there were no u-s casualties in the attack, and came after intelligence reports said the terrorists were gathering for a meeting. Fearful it was the prelude to another attack, they urged the president to launch. Meanwhile most in congress rallied behind the flag, but considering Mister Clinton's domestic problems, a few eyebrows were raised.

44-year old Denny Coggins Melton of Semora, North Carolina, was arrested today for the murder of Rhonda Bowes Stone.

Stone was found dead in her Alton trailer August 7th.
Melton was picked up by North Carolina authorities two days after the murder on separate charges.

This week State Police dug up the foundation of a shed Bramblett built below the house he owned in the mid-70's.
