John Dunbar took first place at WDBJ 7's Ugly Truck Contest.
The event took place at the Virginia Museum of Transportation as part of the Cool Wheels Festival.
Dunbar beat out a field of 59 contestants to win the ugliest truck award.
He said he prepared his 1981 Chevy truck for the event by spray painting parts of his car and bringing along his furry friend.
And, the effort paid off--he walked away with 500 dollars.
Other events at the festival included an antique automobile show and appearances by early stock car racers.
