A six- to seven- foot long snake that slipped into it's owner's toilet is reportedly slithering through Roanoke County's sewer system.
Last week a man was evicted from Affordable Efficiency Inns on Overland Drive after his pet python escaped.
The apartment complex does NOT allow pets.
A Virginia Tech biomedical science professor says cooler weather will probably kill the snake.
But the weather remains warm, and Roanoke County utilities director Gary Robertson said although it would be difficult, it IS possible for the snake to resurface in another area.

Time to check in on the forecast---

Mostly sunny and hot again today, with highs heading into the mid 90s.
Partly cloudy skies tonight, with lows in the upper 60s.
And the extended forecast is a tough call-- depending on whether Hurricane Bonnie makes landfall tomorrow near the Outer Banks, as predicted.
But at this point, expect an increase in clouds and the possibility for showers later this week.
