Constructionworled in Charlottesville began the first of many 12 hour days this morning to repair 33 year old Univeristy Hall.

The building was closed on August 12th after 32 cables in the metal tension ring that anchors the roof to the walls were found to be broken.
UVa officials hope the building can be repaired and reopened by the start of the hoop season.

When the Hokies run out on to Worsham field Saturday, freshmen and former William Fleming star running back Lee Suggs and Norfolk Q-B Michael Vick will probably have been redshirted.
That decision will be made Thurday.

Former Virginia Tech traininer Eddie Ferrell who died this past Saturday night will laid to rest tomorrow.

This afternoon the Tech athletic department announced that it is establishing an endowed scholarship in his honor.
The Edward G. Ferrell Memorial scholarship will provide assistance to student athletic trainers at the the university in the future.
Ferrell worked at Tech for 28 years - 19 as a head trainer.
He was 55.
