The Burning Man Ceremony was the last event in a counter culture festival that attracted close to 14-thousand people.
The event began in 1986 when scorned lover Larry Harvey built a statue of a man representing his girlfriend's new love and then torched it.
Today festival goers say the burning ceremony gives them a chance to express themselves freely.
Festival goers paid one hundred dollars to participate.
