A child product manufacturer is recalling more than 22-thousand of the Evenflo Hike and Roll Child Carrier for repair.
The product could put a child in a life threatening situation.
Children can slip sideways into the leg opening creating a strangulation risk.
The models being recalled are 522101 and 522102 made between the dates
of June 1, 1996 and October 31, 1997.
Parents can look for the model number and manfacturing date on a white tag underneath the bottom of the carrier.
Evenflo is offering a free seat insert to reduce the space of the leg opening.
The installation provides a more secure fit for the child.
Evenflo has a toll free 24-hour hot line for concerned parents who want more information. That number is 800-649-0071.
