Police in Radford are rounding up close to 20 people indicted on cocaine charges.

Police say a five-year old boy killed in a traffic accident Thursday was NOT wearing his seat belt. Danville police say Mark Gibson the Second was riding in the front seat, when his mother ran into the vehicle in front of her.
Officers tell us the boy died several hours later from a broken neck. No charges have been filed.

A Liberty High School student found murdered earlier this week was laid to rest in Bedford today. Hundreds of mourners packed the Washington Street Baptist Church to remember 17- year- old Jamelle Poindexter.
Poindexter was found shot to death on Tuesday.. two other students have been charged in connection with his murder.


Poindexter was a linebacker on the Liberty football team.. their game against Northside scheduled for tonight has been postponed to 7 p-m Saturday.

Roanoke County authorities say a man found dead in his R-V last weekend committed suicide.
The medical examiner says 49-year-old Charles Mandakis of Roanoke strangled himself with his shirt.
