"The rezoning is a bad idea and was properly rejected by the Board last month. It is bad because it will turn a residential and neighborhood commercial center into a regional one which will overpower the Cave Spring Corner area and nearby residential neighborhoods. It will entirely change the character of the neighborhood and lead to a decline in property values."
"The Home Depot zoning request was not even on the agenda. The citizens of Roanoke County had absolutely no chance to addres the reconsideration of this important zoning matter."

He told his congregation yesterday that he's disappointed so few clergymen have condemned the political scandel now surrouding the President.
Falwell said Americans were getting the kind of leadership they deserve when they support President Clinton just because the economy is good.
But he also said immorality in the government isn't limited to the White House and Congress should be cleaned up as well.
