Two members of a Pulaski family were killed--three others injured in a traffic accident earlier today.

It happened near the intersection of Route 11 and Morehead Lane.
State police say the car ran off the road and hit a tree.
Three year old Jordan Smith and 21-year old Latoya Jena Brooks were ejected.
LaToya died at the scene. Jordan died moments later at the hospital.
Another infant--18-month old Andrew Brooks suffered internal injuries and is in intensive care at Columbia Pulaski Community Hospital.

Margie Brooks, the driver of the car and 9-year old Sabrina Hicks, a family friend, were also injured.
Both are listed in stable condition.
The fifth passenger, Mary Brooks, escaped unharmed.

It happened near the 72 mile marker when a vehicle ran off the road and hit a guardrail.
Seventy-three year old Monroe Rathborne Junior and his wife Barbara were killed.

The shooting happened early yesterday morning on Washington Street in front of a row of dorms.
Officials say campus police got a call about a group of students walking down the street shooting a gun.

In addition to criminal charges, Harrell's case will be reviewed by the school's judicial system which will determine if his actions violated university policy.

Strickler was convicted of capital murder in the death of a James Madison University student.
The U-S Supreme Court stayed his execution earlier this month so they can review the case and see if Strickler received a fair trial.
Eight documents concerning the prosecution's eyewitnesses were never revealed to Strickler's defense.
His lawyers say that Strickler might have been spared the death sentence if that information would have been available.
