There could be a local connection to an international child porn ring.
Authorities saya member of the cadet corps at Virginia Tech is one of nearly 200 suspects in 18 different countries.

A search warrant executed a month ago- -but UNsealed only yesterday- -identifies Cadet Mark Cowley as a member of the "Orchid Club."
U-S Customs officials say it's a group that chats on the internet about molesting children and trades pornographic images of children.
One of those busted by the British National Crime Squad had a collection of 42-thousand child pornographic pictures.
Cadet Cowley remains enrolled at Tech. No charges have been filed against him.

The building had been condemned and was set to be demolished yesterday... That is until a band of conservationists and historical preservationists stepped in to help shore up the building.
That was enough for the prosecutor to drop the case, so the judge dismissed it.
The cabin is a long way from being saved, though.
It still needs a roof or at least some type of temporary (tar-phew-lin) tarpaulin to keep the elements from destroying it.

Finn has spent three and half years in a persistent vegetative states.
State law allows withholding of food and water from people in such a state.
Even so, late Wednesday night Governor Jim Gilmore asked a Prince William County judge to keep Finn's family from removing Finn's feeding tube.
The judge refused.

State doctors have even certified that Finn is in a "persistent vegetative state" -- the evaluation legally needed to end life support.
But the Governor says he's troubled by reports that Finn has been able to squeeze a hand, and possibly speak.))
