He stole a car in Woodstock, kidnapped his girlfriend, ditched the car in Bedford County, then killed himself.
That's what police think.
Late last week a dog dragged home a human skull he found in the woods.
Police think it's the skull of Robert Philip Turner, whom Woodstock police suspect in the car theft and kidnapping.
His girlfriend escaped.
But police say Turner, who was depressed about their relationship, apparently killed himself in the woods near Moneta.

They'll make that determination using dental records, because the body is badly decomposed.
An autopsy conducted today shows that a man found murdered Sunday in Danville was shot to death.
The autopsy determined that 51-year old Elliott Jefferies died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
A medical examiner in Roanoke also found gunshot wounds to the victim's legs.
Jefferies was found dead yesterday afternoon in his Slade Street home.
Danville police say they do NOT have any suspects at this point.
Convicted killer Tommy David Strickler's request for a new trial will be heard by the United States Supreme Court.
Strickler's attorney says the justices have agreed to hear oral arguments in Strickler's case.
No date has been set.
Strickler is on death row for the 1990 murder of Salem native Leann Whitlock.
He claims prosecutors withheld evidence during his trial that might have prevented him from getting the death penalty.
Strickler's execution HAD been set to be carried out last month ...before the court intervened.
Members of a Virginia Tech fraternity are under investigation for allegedly holding an 18- year old woman against her will.
The incident occurred last month at the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity on campus.
Teresa Hamilton says the young woman was from an "escort" service in Roanoke.
Apparently things got out of hand when the guys demanded more than she was prepared to provide.
Keith, so far only one fraternity member has actually been charged.
But Virginia Tech police say they expect to file additional charges, against other students, in the coming week.

20- year old Ryan Frances Worch was taken into custody this morning charged with two counts of abduction.
The charges relate to a fraternity party, last month.
Virginia Tech police say Worch and a group of fraternity members called a Roanoke escort agency.
They allegedly requested a young woman to perform at a bachelor party for Tech professors.
What they got was an 18- year old woman who was only prepared to dance in lingerie.
Sources say the fraternity members wanted more.
((LARRY HINCKER/VIRGINIA TECH SPOKESMAN:THAT VERY WELL MAY BE THE CASE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE STUDENTS WERE EXPECTING, OBVIOUSLY THEY WANTED MORE THAN WHAT WAS GIVEN BY THE DANCER. ))
[OUT Q=by the dancer.]
Police say some of the fraternity members tried to take the woman's lingerie off and later held both she and her male escort against their will.
NEWS 7 attempted to get comment from the fraternity.. But no one would come to the door-- although several people were inside.
If Worch is able to post his 30-thousand dollar bond...
He would be free to return to Tech.
Right now, it is so early in the investigation the university has NOT determined whether Worch violated university policy.
