He stole a car in Woodstock, kidnapped his girlfriend, ditched the car in Bedford County, then killed himself.
That's what police think.

Late last week a dog dragged home a human skull he found in the woods.
Police think it's the skull of Robert Philip Turner, whom Woodstock police suspect in the car theft and kidnapping.
His girlfriend escaped.
But police say Turner, who was depressed about their relationship, apparently killed himself in the woods near Moneta.

An autopsy conducted today shows that a man found murdered Sunday in Danville was shot to death.

The autopsy determined that 51-year old Elliott Jefferies died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
A medical examiner in Roanoke also found gunshot wounds to the victim's legs.
Jefferies was found dead yesterday afternoon in his Slade Street home.
Danville police say they do NOT have any suspects at this point.

Strickler is on death row for the 1990 murder of Salem native Leann Whitlock.

Members of a Virginia Tech fraternity are under investigation for allegedly holding an 18- year old woman against her will.
The incident occurred last month at the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity on campus.

Apparently things got out of hand when the guys demanded more than she was prepared to provide.

The charges relate to a fraternity party, last month.
Virginia Tech police say Worch and a group of fraternity members called a Roanoke escort agency.

What they got was an 18- year old woman who was only prepared to dance in lingerie.
Sources say the fraternity members wanted more.

A former Shawsville wrestling coach admitted today that he engaged in sex with several female students in Montgomery County.
Under a plea agreement, 35- year old Michael Blevins pled guilty to charges involving two teenage girls in Shawsville.
His relationship with the third student was more involved.

A demolition crew got to work today at the Cabin Lake Apartments in Danville.
It is expected to take about a month to finish the work.
Last Thanksgiving, the apartment went up in flames.
Danville fire investigators were never able to determine the cause.
Nearly 100-former tenants are suing the owners and operators of the Cabin Lake complex.
There are NO plans to rebuild the apartments.

Billie Robertson served two terms on Rocky Mount town council.
He was chairman of the county board of supervisors during the bicentennial, oversaw a major expansion to the county courthouse and the opening of a new library.

His son, Charles, says, "I don't think there's anyone who loved this county and the town any more than he did."
