The fight over Hugh Finn's life is over.
The 44 year old former Newsman died today in a Manassas nursing home.
Finn became the focus of a right to die debate-
It began after Finn's wife requested unhooking his feeding tube- saying that's what her husband would have wanted.
Finn had been in a vegetative state since a car crash three years ago.
The Governor and at least one Virginia lawmaker filed motions in court to try and keep Finn alive.
But the courts upheld Virginia law which says it legal to withhold food and water from someone in a persistant "vegetative state."
Finn died today- eight days after the feeding tube was removed.
In August, he was known as one of the "Delinquent Dozen".. a list of the biggest deadbeat parents in Virginia.

It's official - no weekend government shutdown.
Congress passed a stop gap spending bill- and the PResident signed it tonight.
The bill will keep government agencies running through the weekend- while it buys time for lawmakers to finish work on the real spending bills.
Congress has completed just six of the 13 needed spending measures.
One point of contention is education spending- the administration wants more of if.
