According to published reports, the company will cut 150 of its more than 25-hundred workers there.
The company has lost money every quarter of 19-98 and is trying to become profitable again.

Halifax County is debating whether to put more restrictions on livestock operations when it comes to hog farming.
The county planning commission will discuss potential changes to the ordinance Tuesday.

The farmers supply the facilities-- the company supplies the animals, feed, and weekly inspections.

The organ and tissue donor stamp was dedicated yesterday in a ceremony at the main Roanoke Post office on Rutherford Avenue. The stamp shows a male and female intertwined reaching out for each other hearts to signify the importance of giving the gift of life through organ donation. A living example of the stamp's message, heart transplant patient Alice Richardson, was on hand for the event. Richardson is the President of the local chapter of Transplants United, a support group for organ donation recipients.

Suspension is the punishment a SECOND grader received for carrying a toy gun onto a Roanoke county school bus.
School officials say other students saw the child playing with the toy gun, and told the bus driver, who reported it to the principal at Glen Cove Elementary.
Officials say the child should serve a short suspension. They're not recommending expulsion.
