Virginians will also have five constitutional amendments to think about tomorrow.
Local lawmakers and the Virginia Chamber of Commerce came together last week in support of two of the proposed amendments.
They said a yes vote on questions 3 and 4 will promote regional cooperation on industrial development.
They argued it will NOT lead to higher taxes as some opponents have warned.
[IN Q=I do not read]
((SEN. BO TRUMBO: I DO NOT READ THE AMMENDMENTS AS INDICATING INCREASED TAXING AUTHORITY. WHAT I DO READ THEM AS SAYING IS THE FACT THAT WE CAN JOIN TOGETHER, FORGET ABOUT THOSE LINES DRAWN ON THE MAP AND START WORKING TOGETHER TO SATISFY THE NEEDS NOT ONLY OF TODAY, BUT THE FUTURE.))

The next gubernatorial election may be a few years away, but multi-millionaire Mark Warner is already thinking about it.
Warner says he's considering a race for governor.

Warner challenged Republican John Warner for a seat in the U-S Senate two years ago and lost by a narrow margin.
This weekend he toured Southwest Virginia to support ninth district congressman Rick Boucher.

Meantime, the death toll in Honduras from Mitch stands at about 250.

Floods are chasing hundreds from their homes in Kansas.
Forecasters are predicting the flooding will spread as more rain falls today.
Local officials in Wichita and Augusta estimate 900 people have evacuated.
((WE'VE GOT MOST HOMES WITH FULLY FLOODEDED BASEMENTS, STRUCTURAL DAMAGE, A LOT OF PROPOERTY DAMAGE INSIDE THE HOMES, PROBABLY 40 VEHICLES IN THAT RESIDENTIAL AREA WE HAD TO EVACUATE, THE VEHICLES ARE A TOTAL LOSS. ))

Descendants of one of Thomas Jefferson's slaves say they feel vindicated by the results of a genetic study.
The D-N-A study offers strong evidence that Jefferson fathered at least one of the children of Sally Hemings, a slave at Jefferson's Monticello estate.

[COMM BREAK #3]
It's win number one for the Washington Redskins.
Quarterback Trent Green returned to the lineup to lead the Skins past the Giants 21 to 14.
[SUPER=03-Raljon, MD/FOX Sports; :]
On their first possession, Green goes down the field before faking the pass and rolling to the right for the score. Seven- nothing Washington.
But the lead wasn't safe.
On the kickoff, New York's David Patten breaks through the wall- he gets the 91 yard touchdown return, and it's all tied up at 7.
Green would lead the Skins on another long drive. He'll hit Stephen Davis on the 12 yard pass and the Skins were up 14-7 at the half.
Washington got things started again in the third quarter.
Skip Hicks goes five yards for the score, and the Skins go on to win it 21 to 14.

With the lead, Carolina defensive back Eric Davis picks off the pass and returns it 57 yards. Panthers go up 17 nothing.
The Saints didn't score a touchdown until the fourth quarter. Billy Joe Toliver rolls out and finds Cameron Cleveland on the two yard T-D pass to make it 24- 10 Panthers.
Carolina would added to its lead late in the game.
Steve Beuelein connects with Rocket Ismail on the 35 yard pass and the Panthers go on to win it 31- 17.
[SUPER=03-Charlotte, NC/This Morning]
Kerry Collins didn't see any action on the field, but he did run into some trouble on the road.
Collins was charged with drunk driving early this morning after he was pulled over by police and refused to take a breathalizer test.
He was released after posting one-thousand dollars bond.
While the Panthers and the Skins were enjoying their first victory of the year, the Minnesota Vikings were experienci

[SUPER=03-Tampa, FL/FOX Sports; :]

Tampa Bay added a field goal late in the
fourth quarter. Mike Alstott takes the handoff and scores from six yards out and the Bucs win it 27 to 24.
Jeff Gordon is the new Winston Cup points champion.
Gordon chased down Dale Jarrett to win the title and the A-C Delco 400 yesterday afternoon at the Rock.
[SUPER=03-Rockingham, NC/TNN Sports; :]
Jarrett took the lead from Rusty Wallace with 308 laps left.
The second caution of the day came out when Sterling Marlin slid on the track and got hit by Johnny Benson.
Jeff Gordon was as high as third and he would clinch the Winston Cup Points championship with just over 200 laps left.
But it was Rusty Wallace who dominated the race until Gordon passed him with 9 laps to go.
Gordon pulled ahead of Jarrett, winning the championship and the A-C Delco 400, his 12-th Winston cup win of the season.

Rusty Wallace was third, Mark Martin fourth and Jeff Burton finished fifth.
Darrell Waltrip finished 32nd. And next week's season finale in Atlanta could be his last race in the Tabasco Pontiac.
Tabasco says it will NOT sponsor the team next season.
So team owner Tim Beverly is giving the three- time Winston Cup champion permission to find another ride for the '99 season.
Waltrip has had an up and down year, including some great performances while driving the number one car for Dale Earnhardt.
But since returning to the old team he sold to Beverly, Waltrip's finished in the top 20 just twice in 12 tries.
