One man is in jail , another in the hospital after leading police on a high speed chase on I-81 yesterday.
It started just north of Roanoke around 8 p-m when police tried to stop 21-year old Shawn Michael Rose for reckless driving.
The chase went on for 30 miles until Rose lost control and wrecked his car.
Rose was taken to the hospital, his passenger, 19 year old Terry Lee Edward was arrested.
Both were wanted on other, unrelated charges.

Virginia opened with the running game. On this play Thomas Jones takes the handoff and rolls down the left sideline for a 37 yard gain all the way to the Seminole 30 yard line.

Five bands created the first annual Animal Aide concert at the New River Valley Speedway today, including the Richmond-based band "Cracker", whose latest CD is generating a lot of attention, not to mention body surfing.
