An eight- year old Danville boy was stabbed by his mother last night.

The body of a 32-year old Henry County woman was found yesterday in the Fairy Stone section of Patrick County.
Police say Kathy Jones (Guy-zler) Guisler was probably murdered at the site.
The cause of death has not been determined, but officials say her throat may have been cut.
An autopsy is scheduled for later today in Roanoke.

An attorney for the estate of a lung cancer victim filed a motion yesterday to prevent the state from joining the national settlement.
