The group is supected of digging up Indian burial sites for artifacts and jewelry.
The society's been under investigation for two years, but it was not revealed until an afidavit was unsealed in Roanoke federal court yesterday.
The document was filed so federal agents could seach the home of the Society's president-- Larry Price-- who allegedly headed the excavations.
Price's lawyer said his client never profited from digs and shared his findings.
