The assistant coach...none other than Pete Gillen, Jones's replacement at Virginia. While he is in his first season at UVa, Jones is making his debut as a telivision color analyist. ((:)) ((STEVE MASON:)) ((:))
UVa ahtletic director Terry Holland, who sat just a few seats away from his former basketball coach, said Jones would make a good analyst. But Jeff is using his temp job for visibility to hopefully improve his contacts and resume. ((:)) Jones, who auditioned first with ESPN, agreed to a 12 game deal with Hometeam Sports, but that was cut down to the VMI/Wake Forest game In Lexington, Steve Mason, News 7 sports.))
