State police now say speed was a factor along with weather conditions, that led to the deaths of four people.

Their parents were also in the car and are hospitalized.

That only four people died, of more than three-dozen involved in the wreck, is considered by many to be a small miracle.

In other news, a school bus driver and one of her young passengers were taken to the hospital this afternoon following an accident allegedly caused by a drunk driver.

The crash happened in Danville on Route-265 near Holland Road.
Police arrested Thomas Scearce at the scene and charged him with driving under the influence.
Officers say Scearce was driving the red pickup truck and that he forced the school bus off the road.
The bus avoided the guard rail, but went down the embankment.
None of the injuries was serious.

A day and a half after a natural gas pipeline exploded in Wytheville, many customers who rely on gas for heat are still without service.

The pipeline exploded early Sunday morning sending flames hundreds of feet into the air.
Nearly 15- hundred customers were left without gas service.
By early this morning-- service had been restored to about 60 percent of customers.

A number of customers who were back on line lost service, yet again.
Gas company officials say they don't know when they'll have service fully restored.

That was before yesterday's crash on Interstate 81 that killed the 19 year-old freshman and 3 other people, including his 15-year-old sister.
Their parents survived the crash, but are hospitalized in critical and serious condition.
