Doctors and rescue crews recount their difficult hours after a deadly accident ..
.. and we have confirmed that a Washington and Lee student was among the victims.
Good evening, I'm Keith Humphry.

The accident was serious enough under any circumstances, but now it's hitting home on the Washington and Lee campus.
More than a full day after the accident, a lot of the wreckage was still awaiting removal today.
State police now say speed was a factor along with weather conditions, that led to the deaths of four people.
[TAKE Pinnacle Page full]
The victims are: Douglas Hubert Austin of Atoka, Tennessee...
Dean Richard Muklevicz (muk-LEV-ich) of Memphis, Tennessee...
Jonathon Owen Nabors, a Washington and Lee freshman, and his 15 year old sister Leah Marie Nabors, both of Alabaster Alabama.
Their parents were also in the car and are hospitalized.

The surviving parents are hospitalized in Roanoke. They are among many people rescued from the wreckage amidst the Sunday morning fog and ice.

A day and a half after a natural gas pipeline exploded in Wytheville, many customers who rely on gas for heat are still without service.
The pipeline exploded early Sunday morning sending flames hundreds of feet into the air.
Nearly 15- hundred customers were left without gas service.

However, gas company officials suffered a set back when gas pressure dropped.
A number of customers who were back on line lost service, yet again.
Gas company officials say they don't know when they'll have service fully restored.
