That's what his defense attorney told the state supreme court yesterday.
Terry Grimes argued that in 1997 a judge wrongly determined that Bramblett was competant to stand trial.

A Roanoke County jury convicted Bramblett of murdering Teresa and Blane Hodges and their two children.
He was sentenced to death.

A Manassas man faces a first-degree murder charge after allegedly stabbing his wife to death in front her children.
Police say Deborah Battle yelled run when she saw John Battle approaching yesterday morning.
An eleventh grader tried to intervene but backed off when she saw the man had a knife.
Police say John Battle was served with divorce papers in early December.
He turned himself in to police and will be arraigned today.

Tee Martin threw a four- yard touchdown pass to Shawn Bryson start off the action, and just seconds later, Dwayne Goodrich picked off a Seminole pass and returned it 54 yards to put the Vols up 14.
Florida State was down 14- 9 at the half, and the Noles didn't make it easy for Tennessee.
With less than four minutes remaining, F-S-U quarterback Marcus Outzen makes good on the sneak- and the lead was only 7.
But with just over a minute left in the game, Steve Johnson picks off Outzen to secure the win and the National championship for Tennessee.
