Plans were also drafted for four new schools.

The school board is considering two options to deal with overcrowding.
Both plans call for a new elementary school between Boones Mill and Burnt Chimney.
They would also turn the current middle school into a second high school and build two new middle schools.
The big difference is one plan would keep sixth graders in middle school -- the other would drop them down to the elementary schools.
