((Just 48 hours removed from a tough loss to UNC, the Cavaliers could have used a Jeanie's three wishes against Georgia tech. The first would have been fresh legs as the Rambling Wreck wore down UVa and went on to steal the wahoo hearts and a second ACC win. ((BOBBY CREMINS:)) The words of encouragement were little consolation for Pete Gillen who, for the first time all season, questioned wheter or not some of his Cavaliers played with the sense of desperation the undersized Wahoos need in order to win. ((PETE GILLEN:))
UVa's Willie Dersh registered team high 18 points. The 6'5" forward found himself matched up with the Jackets 7 foot Alvin Jones, who gave new meaning to the phrase rambling Wreck. ((WILLIE DERSCH:))
The Yelow Jackets had trouble sowing up the win. Freshman Adam Hall's steal and dunk cut Georgia tech's lead to 6 59-54 with six minutes to play. Fellow freshman Chris Williams added 16, but the jackets bigger guns took over for the 12 point win.)) [Wx-Tape]
