The snack-food giant says it will add 35 to 40 new jobs at its Lynchburg facility during the next year.
The move comes as the company closes four of its older, unexpandable plants in the United States and shifts production to its newer facilities.
The Lynchburg plant, which opened two years ago, already employs about 175 people.
They currently make "WOW" potato chips.. and will expand to include Lay's, Ruffles, Tostitos and Doritos snack chips.

State police believe the school bus accident on route 2-20 this week was the result of "driver in-attention."

Monday afternoon, a tow truck plowed into a car- -sending it careening into a Franklin County school bus.
The two people in the car were killed-- 61-year old Geraldine Gillispie and her 8-year old granddaughter, Emily Sturgil.

Between 1994 and 1997, only one person died in a bus accident, a bus DRIVER [next page]
