Intel has agreed to post free software allowing users to disable the serial number if they want to.

Prodigy was one of the first online services, operating since 1988, but it won't survive into the next Millenium. The original Prodigy classic with it's chat rooms and bulletin boards will shut down this October, The company says the old prodigy software isn't Y2k compliant.
Prodigy's new internet service will continue.

The prosecutor in the JonBenet Ramsey case is asking for help online. He's posting a picture of a stuffed santa clause bear on the Boulder Colorado DA's website, asking people if they know where it was made or purchased.
