A convicted child molestor has returned to Southwest Virginia in police custody tonight.
Now he faces more criminal charges.
46-year old Roger Lee Crouch fled the area with his wife and 20-month old son Travis in December.
He was due to be sentenced on child molestation charges.
His case was featured on the T-V show, "America's Most Wanted."
Shortly afterward, authorities arrested the pair in Texas.

The couple will be held behind bars in Bedford and will appear in court Monday.
Meanwhile, officials with the Texas Department of Social Services are trying to find a new home for their son Travis.
A family of four is homeless after a fire destroyed their home in Roanoke County today.

They tried saving the house before help arrived, but to no avail.

The family had little time to collect personal items.
Efforts to retrieve them seemed futile.

Murphy and some of his neighbors watched as the firefighters fought to save his home.
The blaze was extinguished almost immediately, but chainsaws and fans had to be used to clear the smoke.

The house was destroyed.
The homeowner says it's too early to say where they will go from here.

Area traffic accidents yesterday left two people dead.
50-year old Racine A. Spence of Ferrum died following a head-on collision along Route 40 in Franklin County.
And, 50-year old Ronnie Eugene Gravely of Barron Springs died after authorities say he ran off the road in Wythe County along Route 100.
Police are still investigating both accidents.
A former Virginia governor has died.

Mills Godwin died last night of pneumonia.
He served two four-year terms as governor--one as a Democrat in 1966 and the other as a Republican in 1974.
Governor Jim Gilmore said Godwin was a "truly historic and transitional figure in state government".
Gilmore has ordered all flags to be flown at half-staff for the next 30 days.
Godwin was 84 years old.
The Senate impeachment trial resumes Thursday... today, support for a conviction appeared to be fading among some Republican Senators.
But, the President could face more trouble once he leaves office.

A busy weekend for pilots enforcing the no-fly zone over Iraq.

A U.S. pilot based in Southern Turkey fired a missile at a radar site in Northern Iraq today.
In Southern Iraq, 6 American and two British planes fired on two military sites.
U.S. officials say they were responding to Iraqi provocations.
It was the first joint U.S.- British strike since Operation Desert Fox in December.
Still ahead--we'll check in with some youngsters who showed up at a few area churches of all places, to watch the Superbowl.
And, we'll tell you about the American Heart Association's latest efforts to battle heart disease.

Intel's latest pentium chip comes with a feature not everbody wants... a serial number, that can be identified while you're on the web, letting other people know who you are and where you've been.
Intel has agreed to post free software allowing users to disable the serial number if they want to.
Prodigy was one of the first online services, operating since 1988, but it won't survive into the next Millenium. The original Prodigy classic with it's chat rooms and bulletin boards will shut down this October, The company says the old prodigy software isn't Y2k compliant.
Prodigy's new internet service will continue.
The prosecutor in the JonBenet Ramsey case is asking for help online.
He's posting a picture of a stuffed santa clause bear on the Boulder Colorado DA's website, asking people if they know where it was made or purchased. The bear is missing from the Ramsey House, police won't say why it's important.
The site has logged more than 10-thousand hits.

The First Wesleyan Church on Peters Creek Road is one of several in the area that made a place for young people to watch the big game.
Inside this youth center, there are several televisions, including a 32-inch screen.

the Avian flu.
In the 80's it led officials to suspend poultry exports from Virginia--costing area businesses millions of dollars.

An outbreak of the Avian flu prompted officials to destroy 30-thousand turkeys on a farm in Rockingham County.
It's the same virus that caused quite a scare back in the 80's.

((460 commercial poultry farms in a 27-hundred square mile area were quarantined during the outbreak 15 years ago.
The avian flu is deadly to turkeys and chickens, but poses no health risk to humans. But humans carry the virus from one place to another on their clothes and shoes.
During the flu scare, friends refused to see each other for fear of spreading the flu to other farms.
No unwashed eggs or live birds were permitted to leave the affected area.
Tough restrictions were placed on humans as well-- Workers weren't allowed to enter or leave farms unless they were disinfected.
Thousands of infected birds were killed.

Since the 1984 outbreak, The Virginia Department of Agriculture has routinely tested the birds to prevent another major outbreak.
Officials test blood samples before all the chickens and turkeys go to the processing plant.
In this week's case, the turkeys showed no signs of illness but the blood tests confirmed infection.))

The favored Broncos went on the stampede after Atlanta's early field goal, John Elway on third and seven on Denver's 34 hooks up with Rod Smith. Smith breaks one tackle then rides the white line to the 20 yard line.
This sets up Denvers first score as Howard Griffith moves through the pack for the one yard T-D.
In the second quarter the Falcons go for it on fourth and one at the Denver 26, Anderson is tackled for the two yard loss and the Bronco's turn around and pick up three points in the very next drive.

And again Denver would turn it around and on the next play, Elway to Smith again hook up for the 80 yard score.

Missed opportunities for both teams marred the scoreless third quarter.
Denver missed two field goals and the Falcons biggest threat ended when Darrien Gordon intercepted a deflected Chris Chandler pass.
That was one of three passed the Broncos stole from Atlanta in the second half.
Falcon Tim Dwight's 94 yard kick off return in the fourth quarter was a bright spot for Atlanta fans.
