A truck driver has been charged with two counts of manslaughter in last week's fatal accident in Franklin County.

The grand jury returned the indictments today against Michael Lee Gray of Salem.
He was driving the rollback truck that collided with a car at a school bus stop on Route 220.
The car ran into the back end of a bus carrying students from Henry Elementary school.
The car's driver, Geraldine Gillispie of Bassett, was killed. Her eight-year-old grand-daughter, Emily Sturgil, died a few hours later at a Roanoke hospital.

A Ford spokeswoman says two other workers are unaccounted for.
Some of the injuries are described as serious.

A researcher at the University of Alabama says she has discovered the origins of the AIDS virus.

Now Beatrice Hahn says she has found the first proof.
She discovered a strain of a simian Immuno-Virus that is close enough to the human virus to make a direct connection.
Hahn says the virus most likely jumped to humans from chimps that were slaughtered for meat.
