The deposition is being videotaped for showing to the rest of the Senate as it considers the impeachment charges against President Clinton.

Amid peace efforts and international demands to halt the fighting, there's been more violence in Kosovo.
Two small bombs exploded last night in ethnic Albanian-run cafes killing one person and injuring two seriously.
U-S and European officials meet today with ethnic Albanian rebels in the troubled province.
There's still no word yet whether both sides in the conflict will be attending international peace talks this weekend in France.
NATO has threatened air strikes if the two sides don't agree to sit down and work out a political settlement.
Meantime, troops in neighboring Macedonia are preparing for the worst.
NATO'S Kosovo extraction Force has been training to rescue members of the international peace mission in case they are in danger.

It's a race against time for firefighters in Australia.
They're trying to build a line of defense against a wildfire that has already destroyed close to 250-thousand acres of bush along the border between the states of Victoria and South Australia.
Firefighters have been battling the blaze since it was sparked by lightning last Wednesday.
Crews are working to build fire walls to keep the fire from spreading to nearby towns.
Denver is calm today and getting ready for this afternoon's victory parade for the Super Bowl champion Broncos.
But it was a different story last night.

Drunken fans poured out of bars and began setting bonfires and overturning vehicles.
Police in riot gear wound up firing tear gas to disperse them
The officers also formed a line and walked shoulder to shoulder to push the crowd back.
There were several arrests and injuries.
A convicted child molester has returned to Southwest Virginia in police custody this morning.
Now he faces more criminal charges.
46-year old Roger Lee Crouch fled the area with his wife and 20-month old son Travis in December.
He was due to be sentenced on child molestation charges.
His case was featured on the T-V show, "America's Most Wanted."
Shortly afterward, authorities arrested the pair in Texas.

The couple is behind bars in Bedford and will appear in court later today.
Meanwhile, officials with the Texas Department of Social Services are trying to find a new home for their son Travis.
Funeral services for a former Virginia governor will be held tomorrow in Suffolk.

Mills Godwin died Saturday night of pneumonia.
He served two four-year terms as governor--one as a Democrat in 1966 and the other as a Republican in 1974.
Governor Jim Gilmore said Godwin was a "truly historic and transitional figure in state government".
Gilmore has ordered all flags to be flown at half-staff for the next 30 days.
Godwin was 84 years old.

Intel's latest pentium chip comes with a feature not everbody wants... a serial number, that can be identified while you're on the web, letting other people know who you are and where you've been.
Intel has agreed to post free software allowing users to disable the serial number if they want to.
Prodigy was one of the first online services, operating since 1988, but it won't survive into the next Millenium. The original Prodigy classic with it's chat rooms and bulletin boards will shut down this October, The company says the old prodigy software isn't Y2k compliant.
Prodigy's new internet service will continue.
The prosecutor in the JonBenet Ramsey case is asking for help online.
He's posting a picture of a stuffed santa clause bear on the Boulder Colorado DA's website, asking people if they know where it was made or purchased. The bear is missing from the Ramsey House, police won't say why it's important.
The site has logged more than 10-thousand hits.

On Superbowl Sunday, the folks at the Los Angeles Water Department had another bowl on their minds... the toilet bowl.

This year the Los Angeles Water Department invited news crews to come and record how water use sky rockets during Superbowl half time.
And sure enough, the computer graphs showed an increase in water use.
You can see the yellow line on the graph slowly rising.
Officials say that toilet flushing during the half caused overall water use to increase by more than ten percent.
On Wall Street at Noon, the Dow was UP ten points.

NASCAR's 24- hour endurance race at Daytona is over, and for the second time in three years, Rob Dyson's team has emerged the winner.
The race began under sunny skies Saturday, but rain developed overnight and continued as the winning car crossed the finish line.
The winners covered seven-hundred-eight laps at an average speed of 104-point-nine miles per hour.
Four drivers shared time at the wheel of the winning car.

Fans at yesterday's Virginia Tech- LaSalle men's basketball game may have thought they were at the wrong venue.
The Hokie football team took center stage at halftime, to accept the trophy from the inaugural Music City Bowl.
Tech beat Alabama in that game 38 to 7.

But the real action was on the court, as the Explorers looked to conquer the Cassell. Victor Thomas gets open and hits a long three for the early lead.

But the Hokies pulled away. Dunlop gets the pass down low to Roland Roberts-- who finishes with the dunk.
Tech wins it 87- 69.
The 11th ranked Lady Hokies also picked up a conference win yesterday-- improving to nineteen and one.
Tech beat A-10 rival Dayton 68-to-60.
Tere Williams scored 18 and Amy Wetzel added 16 for the Hokies.
Point guard Lisa Witherspoon had 8 points and eleven assists.
The 19th ranked Lady Cavaliers also got a win on the court, upsetting number 15 Clemson 75 to 55.
Monick Foote and (Dah-MIE-uh) Demya Walker both scored 14 for Virginia, while Lesley Brown added 12 points.
The Lady Cavs are fourteen and five on the season.

The Southeast division leading Carolina Hurricanes skated up north to take on Boston.
