articles of impeachment...with neither article winning even a simple
majority of votes.
It was a contrite and forward-looking President who appeared later at
the White House.

One Virginia Senator crossed party lines with his Senate Vote.
Republican John Warner voted "Not Guilty" on the perjury count, but he voted "Guilty" regarding obstruction of justice.
Democrat Chuck Robb voted "Not Guilty" on both counts.

John Warner on the other hand has expressed deep disappointment in the Presdent so it was somewhat of a surprise that he did not find him quilty of pergery.

Warner says the nation's focus must now be on healing, to preserve our strength as a nation in the eyes of the world. For John Warner who over came a tough battle from within his own party to win reelection in 1996 until 2002, and who just took over a powerful Senate committee, there may be few political consequences left to fear. One man was killed early this morning when his car hit a freightliner tractor trailer headon in Bland County
It happened around 3 o'clock in the South Gap area when the driver of a 1998 Ford F-150 crossed the median and struck the tractor-trailer.
Police say it took over an hour to get the victim out of his vehicle.
There was substantial damage to the tractor-trailer as well.
The driver of the rig received minor injuries and was taken to Wythe Community hospital.
Police have not yet released the names.

Police say David Lee Griffin was picked up on a disorderly conduct charge outside of Denver.

After a preliminary hearing today, the 11- criminal charges against Clyde Howard Junior will now go to a grand jury.

The ship ran aground off the Oregon coast with nearly 400-thousand gallons of oil on board.
Bomb experts set fire to the ship Thursday night to prevent a massive oil spill onto Oregon's beaches.
But the remaining oil still could reach all the way to Washington state and even Canada.
The damage can't fully be determined yet.
The underwater oil is especially dangerous to Oysters and Clams.

A five- course Saturday night dinner is served by candlelight, at private tables for two.
There are five guest rooms, each decorated in a romantic, floral pattern with antique furnishings.
Some rooms include a two- person Jacuzzi tub, fireplace, and an entertainment center.
Weekend rates start at 135- dollars a night, and it helps to book early.

This time every year, the tiny post office in Valentines is swamped by up to 50- thousand extra pieces of mail.. all of them Valentines Day cards looking for that little special touch.
Postmaster Willie Wright and his staff put in long hours applying a special cachet he designed and the local Valentines postmark to each card and letter.
It's hard work, but not without its rewards.
