A woman who was attacked at knifepoint outside Lynchburg General Hospital last year says she's convinced the hospital is trying to cover up what happened.

Hospital officials say security video of the incident was erased as part of a routine recycling of its tapes.

A Bedford County fund-raiser is facing charges of grand larceny and embezzlement.
39- year- old Anthony R. Perrow was the head fundraiser for the Forest Athletic Association up until last fall.

Perrow was in charge of raising money to expand the group's recreation center on Route 811.
But police say Perrow.. who also claimed he was a contractor.. was writing checks to himself and buying equipment that never showed up on the building site.

A shooting in Roanoke this afternoon leaves a man in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Rodney Brent McNair was found by police at the intersection of Chapman Avenue and 14th street with an apparent gunshot wound to the neck. Witnesses told detectives there had been a fight involving a dozen people prior to the shooting. McNair's condition is unknown.

The Blacksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce is weighing in on the dispute between the Shelor Automotive group and Montgomery County.

The crowds are starting to gather outside the Roanoke Civic Center for tonight's big concert.

Keith, in just a few minutes, they'll open the doors and begin letting the fans in. Now for those who haven't arrived, there are still shuttle buses bringing fans here. You can catch them at the garage at Williamson Road and Tazewell Avenue. We understand Elton John is now meeting with Roanoke's mayor backstage, but the singer will soon get ready to take the stage for his performance at eight o'clock.

A new truck driver training school may be credited for attracting new businesses to Halifax County.

The first crop of students graduated today from the six- week course.
Some of these newly licensed truck drivers already have jobs lined up.
The recent addition of the truck driver training school to the industrial park area along Route 58 was, in part, responsible for drawing new companies, like the Dollar General Distribution Center.
