Police seized some 25-thousand dollars worth of marijuana yesterday in Rockbridge County.
They found eight pounds of pot in the trunk of a car they pulled over on Interstate 81.
Curtis D. Mills of Roanoke and Virginia and Mark S. Reid of Troutville are all charged with felony possesion and intent to distribute marijuana.
Police say they admitted to buying the pot in Washington D-C.

Retired Justice Harry Blackmun died today at a hospital in Arlington from complications following hip replacement surgery.
Blackmun served 24 years on the high court after his appointment by President Nixon in 1970.
His most important decision came in 1973, in Roe versus Wade, when he wrote the majority opinion legalizing abortion.
Justice Blackmun was 90.

That's more than 7-thousand people.
Workers at Roanoke's service center got copies of a memo from corporate headquarters in Charlotte.
It said First Union will enact the job cuts by mid-March.
Yesterday, a bank spokeswoman said she wasn't sure how many Roanoke area workers might be affected.
The bank employs almost two-thousand people in the Valley.

Virginia's new sex offender Web Site has generated it's first arrest.

State police say a young child and his parents were going through the site, when the child identified a family friend, and said the man had abused him.
The suspect was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery.
