Today, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a lower court ruling that declared the act unconstitutional.
Virginia Tech was sued under a different law forbidding sexual discrimination at schools that receive federal funding. And today, officials said they're pleased with the court's ruling.

This week, construction crews began removing trees and tearing down vacant businesses to make room for a new interchange and bypass.
VDOT describes it as a massive project that will take a little more than THREE years to complete.

A wreck on highway 2-20 this morning knocked down a power line and backed up traffic for miles.
But it didn't take any human casualties.

They were on display at a gas station when a tractor trailer slammed into them.
Police said they planned to charge the truck driver with reckless driving, even though he wasn't speeding.

There was no estimate on the amount of damage done.

Sony Computer Entertainment says it is coming out with a new version of its Playstation video game system.

The Playstation Two is more powerful with a bigger memory and better graphics.
It will use a 128 bit processor and is four times more powerful than the current system.
The Playstation Two stores information on D-V-D ROM which is a step up from the common CD-ROM used in today's system.
It will go on sale in Japan in the fall, but it will not hit American shelves until next year. There's no word on the cost of the new system.
Sega has already announced it will have a similar system on the market in time for Christmas.
