A school that only recently regained its license has now fired a counselor for having sex with a student.

Leaders at the Wilderness Leadership Academy say 23-year old Sarah Anne Robinson admitted she had sex with a 16-year old male student.
Deputies arrested her after seeing an academy vehicle parked on the side of the street with steamy windows.
Academy leaders say they fired Robinson and that her actions do NOT reflect the school's standards.
The school houses troubled boys and has been under investigation by the state Education Department for a year now.

State police divers today may have recovered the weapon used in a 1998 murder in Appomattox County.

Acting on a tip, a dive team searched an area of the James River near Madison Heights for about four hours today.
They found this small caliber, semi-automatic handgun about 40 feet from shore.
Investigators say there's a "good chance" it's the same gun used to kill 35-year old Nick Olivarri last fall.
The gun will be sent to the state crime lab for testing.
Olivarri's wife and another man have been charged with his murder.

A judge in Floyd County has thrown out fraud charges against the man who used to own a popular general store.

Freeman Cockram was charged with swindling a North Carolina man out of 30-thousand dollars.
But judge James Brown dismissed the case against Cockram, saying there wasn't enough evidence to prove Cockram did anything wrong.
After the trial, Cockram said he intended to repay all of the money he borrowed from 85-year old Albert Ellis.

A worker at the Oasis Motel discovered the 29 year old actors body.

The government issued some sobering numbers on the war on drugs today.
Drug czar Barry McCaffrey says marijuana use is widespread.
Sources in New York and 14 other cities say use of marijuana is either stable or increasing and shows no sign of dropping. Young people are the ones smoking the most marijuana.
The survey also shows the use of so-called designer drugs like Ecstacy have become more popular.
Also heroin users are turning to snorting the drug rather than injecting it.
