Another capital murder trial is underway in Lynchburg, where a teenager faces the death penalty if convicted.

18-year old Dale Lee Pughsley (PUGS-lee) is charged with the shooting death of 41-year old David W. Robertson last year.
Police call the shooting a drug deal gone bad.
So far, sixteen of the 24 jurors needed have been selected for the jury pool in Pughsley's case.
Opening arguments are expected to get underway tomorrow.

The fire was first reported at about 2:30 this morning. It took six departments more than an hour to bring the flames under control.

Personal watercraft -- or jet skis -- cannot weave through traffic, follow water-skiiers, or turn sharply to spray someone.

All rental businesses must provide safety courses -- and even salesmen must pass them.
And from now on, the D-M-V keeps track of people charged with boating drunk.

A marine navigator has pleaded guilty in connection with last year's ski gondola accident in Italy.

Schweitzer was accused of destroying a videotape he made aboard the Marine jet.

The marine jet sliced a cable sending a ski gondola to the ground- killing 20 people.
Schweitzer was facing manslaughter charges but those were dropped after the pilot was acquitted of manslaughter earlier this month.

The Virginia Tech Women's basketball team will be honored for its 28 and three record, Sweet 16 appearance in the N-C-Double-A Tournament and its Atlantic 10 regular season conference title.
The celebration is happening at six o'clock Wednesday night in the Cassell.
Head Coach Bonnie Henrickson and all the players will be joined by the band and cheerleaders.
The Event is free and open to the public.

The Huskies have done it. In its first attempt at a national cahmpionship the University of Connecticut walked away with the brass ring by beating Duke.

Some Former great Duke Players were on hand to cheer the Blue Devils and it was a close first period.
Duke would look inside as Avery makes the nice feed to player of the year Elton Brand for the score.
U-Conn would go in among the trees as well as Jones lays it in for the Huskies.
As the first half is drawing to a close Traigen Langdon fires off the three and is fouled the four point play helps Duke to a 39-37 half time lead.
This game lived up to its championship billing as the second half was a nail biter as well. The Blue Devils knock the rebound out to Langdon the three pointer makes it a one point game.
