The threat of computer problems on New Year's Day has a large Christian group changing its plans.
The Promise Keepers organization had planned to hold rallies in state capitals across the country.
But after law enforcement agencies in several states expressed concerns about the Y-2-K threat, the men's ministry decided to change the plan.
Instead of rallying, Promise Keepers is urging members to stay home with their families and practice their faith there.
Some older computers will not recognize the year two thousand. It interprets double zeroes as 1900.
As a result, some systems could shut down crucial services if they are not fixed in time.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is releasing new guidelines to help keep down multiple pregnancies in women undergoing fertility treatments.

The new guidelines recommend doctors avoid the problem in the first place by using ultrasound to determine if the woman has released more than one egg.
It also says doctors should not implant large numbers of eggs during in-vitro fertilization

Officials at the Walt Disney Corporation are experimenting with a reservation system for some of the most popular rides at its theme parks.

Guests would give their name to a host and then come back at the appointed time.
The company believes the less time people spend in line, the more time they will have to shop and buy food.
It's being tried today at Space Mountain in the Magic Kingdom.
Disney is facing increasing pressure from other parks in Florida and California. Analysts say the ride appointments could be a critical marketing tool.
