A three year old girl got the ride of her life last week and her father got the scare of his life.

When her father wasn't looking, Chelsea Tafoya climbed on the back bumper of his sport utility vehicle and held on to the windshield wiper as he pulled out onto the road.
Chelsea kept her grip for 12 miles at speeds approaching 85 miles per hour.
A woman in another car spotted the child and was able to get her father to pull over.
Lincoln Tafoya said he was shocked and amazed that she was able to hold on. Chelsea says she wasn't afraid.

But despite the Petty name and the 50 years of racing success at Level Cross - time is not standing still - in fact some think it is passing the Pettys by.
