Ramey is a convicted felon.

Former Roanoke Valley drug prosecutor Jeff Rudd struck a deal with prosecutors in Roanoke County today.
Rudd was accused of trying to kill his girlfriend last July, and had been indicted on attempted murder and firearms charges.
He pled no contest to one count of discharging a firearm in an occupied building. The other charges were dismissed.
Rudd will be on probation for three years, and must get counseling.
His lawyers say Rudd was ill at the time of the incident, but is in recovery.

This four-acre fire near Glenvar off Wildwood Road started around noon.
Fire and rescue workers from Roanoke County, Fort Lewis, and the Department of Forestry were called out... and because of the steep terrain, they called out a helicopter to help.
