The pilot was David Matthews Smith, age 42 of Winchester... passengers Warren C. Moorman, age 73 of Hardy.
And two men from Frederick Maryland, 56 year old John James Gordon, and 42 year old Steve Hunt McGuigan.

Based on the wreckage at the scene, investigators say there is NO evidence of fire, and the plane did have fuel on board when it crashed.
There were high winds in the area at the time of the crash.

High winds wreaked havoc on drivers this afternoon - and even some folks just sitting inside a home.
In Carroll County two tractor trailers were blown over almost simultaneously on Interstate 77 around 12-30.

State Police say wind gusts were clocked at as much as 127 miles per hour in the area.
No one was injured in either accident, but the Northbound lanes of I-77 were shut down for about 40 minutes.

Around noon wind knocked down an oak tree in the 24-hundred block of Loch Haven Drive.

In tonight's Video of the Day - a construction worker in Atlanta finds himself in need of rescue - in a big way.

Renovations were under way to turn this old mill into loft apartments when fire broke out.
The worker crawled to the end of this construction crane's horizontal arm to protect himself from the blaze.

He ended up stuck on the crane for more than hour before rescue crews could reach him.
A fire fighter attached to a cable was airlifted in to rescue the man.
He strapped the construction worker to his chest - then they were lifted to a nearby grassy area where the worker walked to a stretcher and was taken to the hospital.

Today the man known as the world's most famous hobo died.
Boxcar Willie succumbed to leukemia.

He was 67 years old.

Lynchburg officials today unveiled their "no frills" budget for the next fiscal year.

Most of that new spending will help provide a four percent merit pay increase for city employees.

First our extra point. The Philadelphia Eagles have signed tight end Jamie Asher to a three year contract.
Asher was a free agent from the Redskins where he caught 28 passes for 294 yards last season before suffering a knee injury.
No terms of the agreement were announced.
