Neither man died, so he alledgedly finished both off with more shotgun blasts and knifings.

It was robbery from his aunt that made Jenkins' murders qualify for the death penalty.

A spokesman for Kroger told us after the store swap there will still be -- quote "all kinds of competition" in the grocery industry.
He added that Kroger has "absolutely" no intention of closing any of its stores...
Including stores in the Cave Spring area, where an existing Kroger is just blocks from a Harris Teeter that Kroger will take over.
A spokesman also said Kroger is seriously considering expanding the Harris Teeter at Towers mall.
That store, Kroger said, is smaller than stores Kroger typically operates.

The Harris Teeter stores bought by Kroger will shut down around May 11th.
They'll stay closed for a week or two while Kroger restocks them.
If Kroger picks up all of Harris Teeters' old customers, it will have more than a 50-percent share of the Roanoke market.
