Yvon Vital Majeus (ee-VON VI-tal MAY-juss) pleaded guilty yesterday to the October Ninth robbery of F-N-E-B.

The 22-year old Roanoke man also pleaded guilty to counts of using a weapon, as well as driving a getaway car for a robbery of the same bank nearly a month later. He is now HELPING the F-B-I investigate the second robbery. Majeus may still face another charge in that case. He could spend up to 55-years in prison if convicted.

Another man will die by lethal injection tonight in Jarrett, unless Governor Gilmore steps in.
Arthur Ray Jenkins killed his uncle and another man in a 19-90 Warren County robbery.
Yesterday, the Supreme Court denied an appeal and a stay of execution.
If the governor does not grant clemency, Jenkins will be executed tonight.

A fire that ripped through a Wythe County building over the weekend left more than ashes in its wake.

Fire fighters still don't know what caused the fire but suspect it started in the back of the structure.
Bill Ricketts of North Carolina bought the building about a year and a half ago.
He owns a large collection of Dr. Pepper memorabilia and had hoped to turn the historic building into an ice cream parlor and Dr. Pepper museum.
It's a dream Ricketts hasn't abandoned, saying he hopes to salvage at least part of the building. [TAKE SU] The owner won't know the answer to that question for a while, but fire fighters here aren't optimistic.

It looks a motorist took his own life at the conclusion of a police chase over the weekend in Lynchburg.

She was shot inside Whorley's Pulaski home, late Friday night.
